The final total is in and we have raised a staggering £7074.96
J A Burke would just like to say a massive Thank You to everyone who helped us raise this amount for taking part in the SimplyHealth Great Birmingham Run on 26th May 2019.
As most of you will know the money was raised for The Lighthouse Club charity as we thought this was a fitting choice as it is a charity that is linked closely to the work we carry out as a company and those we work for.
We originally set out to raise what we thought was an ‘ambitious’ £5000.00 so were delighted to see the final amount.
The Lighthouse Club was our chosen charity due to the work it does and how it’s work relates to our own personal loss of a close friend and work colleague, Mark Handford. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Mark’s tragic death so everyone here at J A Burke thought it was a fitting tribute.
14 runners from J A Burke took part on the day, some were seasoned runners, others not, but everyone who took part thoroughly enjoyed the event and are now looking towards the next.
