Groundworks to the new Christ Church Academy in Yardley Wood, Birmingham are underway.
The groundworks package worth approx £1.25m will see us working together with Willmott Dixon, aiming to deliver another successful project. Works will include; site strip, drainage and foundations, Section 106 works, as well as concrete floor slabs and external finishes.
The overall project, estimated to be worth £19m, is to deliver a new three storey secondary academy school and sixth form. It is expected to open in 2021 and will create a further 1,150 school places in the area. As it is also situated within a mile of our Head Office, we are very pleased to be involved in a project local to our community.
The new school will also comprise of a pick-up and drop-off area for pupils, a sports hall, two full-size football pitches and one FA standard 3G pitch.
Our works are being carried out on a full labour, plant and material basis including supervision and engineering.
